In April 2024, the VEX IQ Worlds robotics competition came to a successful conclusion, and the theme of the 2024-2025 season "Rapid Relay" was unveiled.

• Objective : Rapid Relay is played on a 6' x 8' rectangular field, with the primary objectives being to pass the Balls between Robots, score Points by hitting Targets, and Clear Switches.

• Scoring Rules :

  • Each goal scored is 1 point (no upper limit)

  • 1 point for each cleared switch (maximum 4 points)

  • Each successful pass has different scores depending on the number of switches triggered. Please refer to the figure below for details:

Please note: The number of points scored for each pass is determined by the state of the four switches at the end of the game, regardless of when the pass occurred . For example:

A聯隊先觸發一個開關，期間成功傳球7次，最後才觸發其餘三個開關。
B聯隊一開始便觸發四個開關，然後成功傳球7次。
如果以上兩個聯隊最後都是成功傳球7次的話，他們在傳球部分的分數是一樣的，都是7次 x 12分 = 84分

Finally, it is worth mentioning that there is no upper limit on the score in the Rapid Relay season, which is very different from previous years. In other words, as long as the players and robots cooperate well, are quick enough, and have a proper strategy, they can continue to challenge higher scores!
